I rushed to the hospital with Adam just to walk in seeing him texting on his cell. It made me laugh and I felt way better, especially after I found out he had been texting me, Adam and Hay to let them know he was ok. After the amubulance took him to the hospital, they did a catscan on him and a bunch of other x-rays. When we got there he had just come out of MRI and was feeling a lot better, although (as Jimmy Fallon says it best in Fever Pitch) "he had a whole 'nother head up there!".
Thank God, he came out of it with a second head and a lot of bruises, a big cut on his arm and a lot of back and neck pain. It was an interesting Friday, and I have to just smile at how bad it could have been, but wasn't.
Anyway, not too much else going on except I am officially done with my first year of college in two weeks!!!!!! Can't wait, I'm sure you will all hear about the graduation and I'll try to post a picture in my cap 'n gown (my first ever!).
Love to all,
Natalie

P.S. I have been so sick I haven't been doing anything. Friday night I went to bed at 6:30! My family was at Adam's apartment, and I was so tired I fell asleep before we even had dinner. At 10 my parents woke me up and told me it was time to go home, so I drove home and went back to bed at 11. I slept until 10am on Saturday! Then we had youth on Saturday night so before that I took a 2 hour nap. Yeah, I was really tired. Then on Sunday morning I woke up for church and was so freakin sick. I got up just in time to get the last 5 minutes of church, then fulfill my duties in "chair ministry." (That's the lovely term that our school registrar gave us for setting up chairs for the school and church). I really don't mind doing, (in a really weird freaky way I think it's kind of fun.) But Sunday I was miserable! Anyway, we had our special once-a-month Sunday night training and I was coughing so much, the school dean, Ron, (I love the guy like a 2nd dad almost) came over and siad (right in my face like only Ron could) "Go home!" And he made me smile. So then I went home and my dad, my best boss in the world gave me the day off today! So now, I'm sitting here, sniffing and hacking (sorry for such a descriptive assesment of my current state of being), wow, could I sound more like a freak trying to use big words? Anyway, I'm not in a great state of mind right now so anything I say that doesn't make sense just forgive me! So, that is what is in my life right now. I have the week off of school (couldn't have come at a better time!) and tomorrow we're going to see Keith Urban live in concert!!!!! It's gonna be a blast!
Anyway, Happy V-Day tomorrow, don't worry if you don't have that special someone, you never know. He may come while you're sleeping!

Love to all!
Natalie

Tristan and Isolde

Ok. I know I'm totally a nerd for talking about movies but this was so good! I asked Adam to take me and of course cause he's the best guy in the world, he said yes. I am trying so hard to grow my talents, I've decided that I need a real piano before I die. I AM going to own one. Don't get me wrong, keyboards are great, but you just can't beat the sound of a really great piano. The other day I played our church's baby grand during a break, it was so amazing! Good thing breathing isn't a conscious thought or I'd be dead for sure!
Anyway, I'm loving life here. Scholl is good. Job is good. Fam's good. We have a new registrar for school, she works right next to me, she's so awesome! She's so funny I'll just be sitting at my desk and she'll say something to someone walking by and I'll crack up! I love her to death.
There's also a girl that just joined school and her name is Natalie! She's really fun and stuff, but I've never known what it felt like to know someone else with the same name, so it's pretty darn weird.
That's what's going on with me. Please comment and let me know all your thoughts!
Love to all,
Natalie
LMQ. Last week I finished my first official term of college, yipee! I know I did good. So that means I'm on break! For a week!

It has been so nice. Yesterday I watched the movie Fern Gully (it's awesome, the most treehugger movie you've ever seen!) Anyway, I had fun, I loved it. My dad gave me the day of because we did an all-night youth event then had meetings all day Sunday. It was crazy! So I slept in til 11 then watched movies and scrapbooked. It was the best!

Well, that's it for me. Love ya'll!

Natalie

L.M.Q. Pretty calm but dark afternoon, then it started to rain about 5 and hasn't stopped since and probably won't stop til tomorrow evening. But we all feel pretty safe, nice and cozy in our rooms. Mine being so bright and colorful that it is impossible to stay afraid very long.

Speaking of impossible, our Kid's Church does a theme every month to get the kids excited about coming. Well, this month, I get to shed my Velma costume (which many of you have seen pictures, and STILL tease me about!) and I get to don a new costume, Kim Possible! If you haven't seen it, it's the coolest show ever! It's this cartoon about a girl in hs that saves the world every episode! It rocks! I can't wait, it will be awesome! I got the washable red hair dye and everything!

Well, today I got an email from a really old friend, whom some may know from the "specialness" he added to the Creation/Knight dance for our missions trip. Or perhaps does the line, "Thanks for tuning in!" ring a bell? Well, if you havne't guessed, it's my old buddy David Quinton! I heard from him today, which shocked me more than you can guess! It was interesting to hear from him. but good too. He seems to be doing pretty well in California. I'm glad for him. he really likes it there.

That's all that's going on with me. Big test tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure I'll do well. I know that I just wrote yesterday, but I felt like writing again. But that's mostly because Laura's letting me borrow her computer and I'll take every chance I get to use it!

Not too much has changed since yesterday. It rained like crazy yeserday and I got soaked just running home after work across the parking lot.

Michael went home today. Kinda sad. I really didn't even get to talk to him much since I have been so busy. But it was really good to share old stories and fun memories.

Haley's a little working girl, grooming dogs all day at Pet's Mart. I think she likes pretty well.

Dad's good. Busy with work (as always), but he's doing good.

Mom's working at Pet's Mart too. But not in grooming, she works at the register. She's the nicest person there! She's always like, "Can I help you find that?" or "Your dog probably doesn't want that kind of food because that breed has stomach problems when it eats that ingredient..." She knows so much it's amazing!

That's about all for now! please comment when you read my blogs so I know you visited!

Love to all,
Natalie

New Music and babies

Well, not too much going on with me. I had a good weekend. I am listening to some good new music I got, it's very girl-power music from the soundtrack of Sisterhood of Traveling Pants. I love it! I also downloaded a song from Diary of a Mad Black Woman, it's this total southern Baptist church song and I love it! This radio station on Sunday mornings plays all this gospel music, like Kirk Franklin and Yulanda Adams. I listen to it every Sunday morning now. I know that I never used to listen to it, so I feel little like a poser. But people change right? Man, if you listened to my ipod you would laugh at all the different types of music that are on there. I just really like everything. A style for every mood. (Wow, if that's true, that's pretty scary how many I have!)

On Sunday, Laura(my roommate, if you don't know, I talk about her a lot), and I ran the nursery for church. It was so much fun. There was this really cute little black girl and this adorable little blond-blue-eyed boy. They were so cute! I held Sage (the boy) most of the time. I even got him to go to sleep! I was so proud of my maternal instincts ;-)

So, that was all that happened to me. My arms hurt a little from holding Sage for so long. I don't know how moms every where do it 24/7! Props to all the moms and aunts of the world.

I'll let you know when something worth writing happens!

Love to all,

Natalie

PS. Let me leave you with this thought that I learned from a very smart girl, her name is Elle Woods, a thought that I just recently shared with a dear friend going through some stuff. Umm...Well, college is good. Really good. We've been talking about stuff that is really changing my life. My class on Friday is all about creation. It's my "science" class. We've been talking about creation versus evolution and stuff like that. It's been really interesting. My class on Wednesdays (today) is all about prayer and how words affect you. There was this group of scientists in china I think it was that did a bunch of tests with water. They would speak a word into tiny droplets of water, freeze the crystals, then look at them through a microscope. When they spoke good, happy words like "love" or, "I'm happy" the crystals turned into snowflake-like images that were beautiful and white. But when they spoke words like "I hate you" or, "You're wrong" the water turned into these ugly images full of imperfections, and they turned a funky grey or brown color. One even looked like (no joke, I saw the pictures!) someone strangling another person. It's also interesting to note that 70% of our bodies of water. So...From that we can assume that our words against others, not only hurt their feelings, they actually can cause people's physical bodies to change. People who always say, "oh I'm so sick. I'm really excited about college. I have my first test tomorrow. I am really confident about it though. They all tell you about the best ways to study, and I actually did it so I feel really good about it. Did you know that your heart is more likely to absorb something right before you go to sleep or right when you wake up? Well, they told us to look over our notes on those times and you will remember really well. Well, I did that. Plus, Adam and I made flashcards and studied tonight, so I feel all the more better with that.

I'll write again soon,
Natalie

PS.
